Woodhorn Museum is open as usual, but you may find some parts of the site inaccessible due to ice.

Last updated: 15/12/2022 11:03

Woodhorn Museum is open, but please note some of our original colliery buildings are closed due to the Pit Yard area being covered in thick ice. This makes areas of the Pit Yard slippery and dangerous and we have made the decision to leave them closed until the weather improves. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, but please ask staff for information on the buildings and their history. We have ensured other pathways are well gritted and fully accessible, so you can enjoy exploring the cutter building, stable block and Café as normal.

If you need to get in touch with us for more information, please contact us on 01670 624455 or by email at  hello@museumsnorthumberland.org.uk
