On Monday 10th January we were delighted to welcome Timberplay on site to start work building the new Accessible Play Area at Woodhorn Museum.
It is expected that work will take two weeks to complete, and during that time the existing play area will be closed to the public. We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused to our visitors, and we look forward to opening the new extended play area very soon.
The new Accessible Play Area has been possible thanks to generous funding from SUEZ Communities Trust, The Ridley Family Charity, Ashington Town Council and Ecclesiastical Insurance Group. We are also grateful to the support from the public through the Crowdfunder campaign which raised an additional £2,500 from 55 donations.
You can read more about the plans for the play area here.
