The ‘Darktown Miners’ Social Club’ (D.M.S.C) is an immersive new exhibition at Woodhorn Museum by illustrator Jonny Hannah.

Everyone is welcome to join this new social club which celebrates the folk tales and heroes of South East Northumberland through Hannah’s extraordinary paintings, prints and cut-outs. Meet the club’s curious cast of characters including miners and musicians, painters, protesters, and many more. Hannah’s ‘Darktown Miners’ Social Club’ will only appear for a short period of time before it disappears back to the mysterious ‘Darktown’ forever, so don’t miss out!

The ‘Darktown Miners’ Social Club’ is part of ‘Northumberland Folk’, a series of four distinct yet connected exhibitions across Museums Northumberland created by award-winning illustrator Jonny Hannah.
