This loan box was developed with the Energy, Subsea and Offshore employment sector in mind. It has been designed to focus on engineering used at sea and will link in with any 'Under the Sea' or 'Seaside' themed topic. It covers a wide range of subjects related to engineering at sea including: transport, wildlife, offshore wind farms and other structures.
The activities included are cross-curricular and link to either the Early Years Goals or the KS1 National Curriculum.
Highlights include a selection of simple mechanisms to explore, a set of creative gears, a set of construction pipes, shells, fossil samples, model sea vessels and creatures, and a selection of games and books.
