The River Tweed Box

Our River Tweed box explores the plants and animals found locally around the Union Chain Bridge and gives children the opportunity to role play as ecologists.
Recommended age: 3 years – 7 years.

What’s in the box?

Our River Tweed box contains a range of items including magnified bug viewers and plastic insects, children’s binoculars and clicker counters, fishing nets and plush herring/salmon, a butterfly lifecycle demonstration set and a butterfly garden kit (live caterpillars need to be purchased by the school). This box is great for students in Early Years / Early Level and KS1 / First Level.

You know your students best, but please be aware of that some items and books may be more suitable for a particular age group than others. Below are a selection of useful links and downloadable resources to help you make the most of the box. Please note we cannot control the content from external websites.
