Woodhorn Museum: Soundmirror

“My mother has always been a huge fan of the Woodhorn Museum, as I am too. She wanted to keep as much of my father’s ‘bits and pieces’, as she called them, together, rather than them being ether lost or just sold off in the future, so what better place than the Woodhorn? My father had worked in Ashington as an apprentice colliery fitter and it was during that time that he was signed for Newcastle United. He always loved Ashington and even moved back there for the remaining years of his life and I have no doubt that he would be very proud of this exhibition.”
