Hear oh! – A life of Jonathan Martin

Jonathan Martin is best known for setting fire to York Minster in 1829. And indeed, if you type his name into a search engine, it will swiftly be followed by ‘arsonist’. True, he was, but this does him a huge disservice. Martin was a free thinker, someone who lived by his own set of rules, in the hope he might change the corrupt world around him, until finally the authorities caught up with him & he spent his last days in the notorious Bedlam, where he died.

But this wall is my homage to him & exciting, mysterious & cosmic time on this planet…
