If you would like to remember a special person or event, please consider buying a ‘tally’ for the Tally Wall at Woodhorn Museum.
Each ‘tally’ – which looks like an original coal miner’s tally – has space for a name, dates and a few words and they are mounted on a wall close to the entrance at Woodhorn Museum for all visitors to see.
You can securely purchase your tally online or you can download a copy of the form, complete it and return it to the museum.
After you’ve purchased your tally we’ll send you an acknowledgement letter and a certificate when you make your donation and tell you when your tally is up on the wall to view. Your tally will remain on display at Woodhorn Museum for a minimum of ten years.
We are a registered charity and your donations really make a difference. All donations from this special initiative will go towards our work preserving this important historical site for visitors, and telling the story of coal mining in the North East for generations to come.
