The bejewelled crown, worn by Queen Elizabeth II during the precession to her coronation, was originally made for King George IV in 1820, the same year that the Union Chain Bridge was built.

Please be advised that, although the workshop is free, entrance into Berwick Museum and Art Gallery is still subject to normal admissions charges. You can buy an Annual Pass online before your visit or on arrival. Adults £5, Concessions £4 and under 16s free. If you are an English Heritage Member, you can also visit for free.
Our Family workshops last approximately one hour. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. As this workshop includes small parts, it is not recommended for children younger than 5.
