Macular Awareness Day 2019
Leading sight loss charity the Macular Society will be bringing the largest cause of blindness in the UK sharply into focus later this month (June) at Woodhorn Museum, Ashington.
On Saturday 29 June, the charity will be holding an open day at the museum to offer information about macular disease. It is one of many events taking place all over the UK as part of Macular Week, which runs from 24-30 June. Now in its fifth year, Macular Week is all about increasing awareness of macular disease, as well as highlighting the importance of research funding to find a cure.
