Visit Woodhorn Museum on Takeover Day 2019 (Friday 22nd November) to support a group of talented young filmmakers who have worked with My Life Productions over the last year to research, develop and produce two short films on the subject of the 1984/5 Miners’ Strike.
Come along during the afternoon to meet the young people and find out more about their project and film work. Then take a seat in our pop-up cinema to enjoy the film screenings at 2pm.
- Strike: A short fictional film based on the true stories of the 1984/85 miners strike. 16mins
- 80’s Life: The Miners’ Strike: A documentary about the lives of the people affected by the miners strike. 33mins
If you can’t make it along in person, then give us a follow on Twitter, as group will be taking over the @Woodhorn twitter feed for the day too!
This project and event was made possible through a partnership between Museums Northumberland and My Life productions, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Northumberland County Council.
