Museums Northumberland presents ‘Northumberland Folk’, a series of four new exhibitions by illustrator Jonny Hannah. Discover some of Northumberland’s strangest stories and most curious characters through Jonny’s extraordinary paintings and prints.

The vast array of Northumbrian stories you will see illustrated in the exhibitions have been drawn from our museum collections, inspired by our heritage buildings and contributed to the project by members of our communities.

Pay a visit to Geordie Broon’s bar and raise a glass to the people and places of Northumberland’s industrial south east corner. Meet a cast of local characters including illustrated pitmen and poets, coal queens and keyworkers. The D.M.S.C. jukebox is legendary and a singalong is not only allowed but encouraged.
